Student Equity Outcomes: Transfer

E. STUDENT SUCCESS INDICATOR FOR TRANSFER - Ratio of the number of students by population group who complete a minimum of 12 units and have attempted a transfer level course in mathematics or English to the number of students in that group who actually transfer after one or more (up to six) years.

Marketing Department, Transfer Center The percentage of students declaring transfer majors will increase by 10%. 06/30/2015 Completed and ongoing. The number of students declaring ADT’s has increased by XXX%
E.2: Increase Transfer Center activities for all students but specifically target those groups with lower transfer rates. Ensure sufficient staffing levels to support and sustain the increased activity.

Student Services Deans Transfer rates for all students to CSU and UC will increase by 4 percentage points combined.

Transfer rates for those identified groups with lower rates will increase by 2 percentage points.
12/30/2016 Additional staffing has been provided to increase transfer support for students.
E.3: Increase college/university tours; add visits to private, historically black colleges, Hispanic- serving institutions, and American Indian institutions.

E.4: Initiate MOUs to strengthen articulation to regional 4-year institutions.

VPSS, VPI An MOU to increase transfer rates to CSUS will be approved by both institutions. 06/30/2018  
E.5: Develop strategies to encourage early completion of the “Golden 4:” Critical Thinking (ENG 1C), Math, Speech/Communications, and Composition (ENG IA)

Activity type: Student Equity Coordination/Planning, Student Services or other Categorical Program, Direct Student Support, Curriculum/Course Development or Adaptation, Instructional Support Activities, and Outreach
Deans, Counselors, Program staff IGETC and CSU GE patterns will be established in DegreeWORKs resulting in students viewing completion of the “Golden 4” in the progress bar.

There will be a 5% increase in the percentage of students with a goal of transfer who completes these classes during their first year.
06/30/2016 The new guided pathway program, RISE, will implement and offer course enrollment guarantee in these courses
E.6: Encourage use of DegreeWorks and Assist.org for transfer and major preparation.

Student Services Deans and Faculty Two workshops will be offered each semester on how to use DegreeWORKs for transfer goals. 12/30/2016 A new portal will be completed in June 2016 to facilitate students’ access to DegreeWORKs
