Get a Student Senate application in the Campus Life Office. Available toward the beginning of the fall semester.

Meeting Times

Everyone is welcome to attend Student Senate meetings. During the semester, the Senate meets Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00pm in the Board Room in the LRC 113 on the Rocklin Campus.

Student Senate Mission

The Student Senate shall dedicate itself, above all, to the service of the students it represents. To this end, the Student Senate shall:

  • Be a unified voice for a diverse student body 
  • Honoring the unique needs of individual students
  • Promote student’s rights
  • Provide an unbiased forum for voicing student concerns
  • Participate in decisions that affect students, especially through shared governance
  • Responsibly manage ASSC resources and provide students with optimum benefits
  • Organize, promote and sponsor student activities and clubs
  • Promote cooperation between students and faculty

The Senate promotes:

  • Student empowerment
  • Leadership
  • Participation
The Senate hopes to develop informed, educated leaders.
