Refund Information

All students receive a Refund Selection Kit from Sierra College via BankMobile after their initial registration of classes.

Upon receipt of the Refund Selection Kit, follow the instructions included in the kit to select a refund method.

The following refund options are available:

  • Electronic deposit to a bank account: Refund will be deposited into an existing bank account of your choice.
  • Check: A check will be mailed to the address listed in the Student’s mySierra account.
  • Electronic deposit to a BankMobile VIBE account: BankMobile checking account.

If no refund method is chosen then by default a check will be mailed 14 days after refunds are processed to the address on record in mySierra from BankMobile. It is therefore important to maintain a correct address in mySierra.

Refunds will be automatically issued two weeks after instruction begins for each term.

Cardtronics ATMs are located in the cafeteria and V building on the Rocklin Campus, and one each at NCC and Tahoe-Truckee. Students may also use their debit card at any Cardtronics ATM in our communities. Click here to find Cardtronics ATM locations.

Short-term and Fast-Track classes each have their own Add/Drop/Refund Deadlines. Check your class schedule located in your mySierra account.

NOTE: If you stop attending classes and fail to drop within the Add/Drop/Refund Deadline (See Dropping from Classes), you may be responsible for all tuition and fees.

Refunds: Non-Resident Tuition and International Student Tuition

Sierra College Health Fees

You are eligible for a refund only if you drop all classes by the Add/Drop/Refund Deadline. (See Dropping from Classes)

All students attending Sierra College pay a Health Fee. The Board of Directors established this fee in 1987. The fee pays for the operation of Health Services. Any enrolled student is welcome to visit the clinic and take advantage of its services. General visits are free, physicals are $10, and immunization prices vary.

A small fee is charged when any laboratory tests are performed. Some prescriptions are available at Health Services for a reduced cost. The clinics are staffed by Family Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and a Physician, as well as our front office staff.

This fee is required of all students except those:

  • Receiving the BOG A fee waiver.
  • In supportive education.
  • Enrolled in OLLI classes only.

Student Center Fee

A Sierra College student body election resulted in approval of a mandatory Student Center Fee, designed solely for the purpose of funding a new student center. The fee, charged for the Fall and Spring semesters is $1 per unit to a maximum of $5 per semester.

This fee is required of all students except those:

  • Receiving the BOG A fee waiver.
  • In supportive education.
  • Enrolled in OLLI classes only.

Questions regarding the student center fee only may be directed to the Campus Life Office.
