Using College Transcripts and Test Scores Instead of Assessment Tests

Instead of taking an assessment test, you can place into your classes with other college transcripts, high school transcripts, or test scores. Learn how to receive clearance through Admissions and Records.

Clearance with Other College Transcripts

Submit unofficial and official transcripts to the Assessment Office to place into your classes. This process may take between 3 to 5 days. Complete a Prerequisite Clearance Form and indicate which course(s) you are seeking clearance for.

Clearance with High School Transcripts

High school Algebra II or Integrated Math III with grades of “C” or better may be used for clearance. The Assessment Office accepts both official and unofficial transcripts for clearance. Course credit is not granted for high school coursework.

Clearance and Official Transcript Evaluation

Official transcripts may be submitted to Admissions and Records for clearance and an official evaluation for course credit. This process takes between 7 to 14 days. Complete a Transfer Credit Request form for course credit.

Clearance with Test Scores

You can also submit test scores to the Assessment Office for clearance. We accept other college assessment scores, SAT, ACT, EAP and AP tests that have qualifying scores.
